About the group

Folk-band «  Rodnaya     Storonka  »(Native Land) is a young professional group. It performs folk and author’s songs in a folk-pop music style. The group repertoire has lyric, dance tune, folkloric and ritual songs, “chastushki” (humorous rhymes), the Soviet composers and contemporaries’ songs, patriotic songs and military songs. This huge variety gives everyone the opportunity to find a song for pleasure, which can be modern or old-fashioned, famous or rare, tender or naughty, sad or joyful, free and daring. Folk-band performs songs either in a traditional folk stile or in a modern improvisation way. The repertoire is popular not only among the elderly people, but also youth, the reason is a combination of folk and modern musical styles, such as R&B, Hip-hop, Club, House, a capella, Beat-Box, etc.

 The band creativity work is characterized by the active use of polyphony. The band feature is its mobility, dynamism, bright voice timbres. The part and parcel of various performances ischoreography, which not only discloses the contents of the songs, but also makes the program more memorable and adds a "folk spirit"..

 The folk-band «  Rodnaya     Storonka  »(Native Land) was formed on February 26, 2009. All artists have graduated the State Musical College named after the Gnesins, which undoubtedly, affects professional qualities of the group. At the beginning of the formation the band worked under the State Musical College named after the Gnesins. Having been formed finely, the band «  Rodnaya     Storonka  » (Native Land) has become an independent band.

   Rodnaya     Storonka  " (Native Land) personifies home, parental love, love to the native earth, love for the country – feelings which are close and dear for the human soul. Clear and ringing voices, cordiality, a live sound, great energy win the audience. The group actively popularizes folk singing art and participates in charity activities.

 

Group Members


The creative staff of the band includes the soloists with unique geography – from The Far East to south Crimea, from the Western Siberia to the Caspian coast, from The Volga Region to the Central Russia.

     STACY  YASENKO is  a  soloist of the group "  Rodnaya     Storonka  " (Penza, Russia). She is a winner of   several Russian and International competitions and festivals. She has the Grand Prize of The International   Contest in Bulgaria, she is the First Class Laureate of all-Russian contest “Pesennaya Korusel” ("Song       roundabout”). Anastasia has the grant of  the fund "Young talents of the Volga region". Her person is written down in   the book "Heritage" for special achievements and art promotion. She takes part in various projects. Since October,   2011 Anastasia has been a head of folk group "  Rodnaya     Storonka  ". 


    ALEX MARILOV is a soloist of the group "  Rodnaya     Storonka  " (Kemerovo, Russia). He is a prize-winner of several   Russian and International competitions and festivals. He is a Laureate of International contest “Roza Vetrov” (“Wind Rose”),     Laureate of the contest of the Festival International Movement  “Expectancies of Europe ” in nomination “Expectancy of   Russia”. He has the grant of  the fund "Young talents of Kuzbass" and All-Russian fund "Young talents of Russia". He   participated the shooting of the ceremonial project "Tyazhinsky Christmas carols". Alexey is  one of the founders of the group   "  Rodnaya     Storonka  ".


Cooperation. The group worked with such actors and showmen, as: Nadezhda Babkina and ensemble "Russian Song", Alla Pugacheva, Natalia Bannova, Tamara Korchagina, Oleg Gazmanov, Vladimir Devyatov, Slavyane folk-band, Vakhtang Kalandadze, Lyudmila Ryumina's ensemble "Rusi", Valaam chorus, Mariya Bulavina, Alexey Vorobyyov, Andrey Bill, Boris Krasnov, Dmitry Khrustalyov, etc.

 Performances.  Since the group foundation it has gone on tour in many large cities of the Russian Federation (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Smolensk, Ryazan, Tula, Penza, Tyumen, Omsk, Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Barnaul, Krasnoyarsk, Chita, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, etc.) and abroad (Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, the Czech Republic, Yugoslavia, Poland, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Greece, Finland). Also the group has performed on the main stages of Moscow: Olympic Arena, the State Kremlin Palace, Poklonnaya Gora, Vasilyevsky Descent, etc. Performances: Skolkovo Scientific Center, a Housing Estate "Rublyovsky", the Rosneft Oil company, night club "London", the Moscow State University, the Concert Hall "Gnesins", the Cultural center "Moskvich", etc.

Projects: NTV TV Channel, Movie company " Prime Cinema ", Russian TV channel “Culture”, TV channel “Stolitsa”, FM radio station “Radio Kuzbass”, “Red Wolf” studio, Internet radio station "Radio WORK", etc.

Awards. The group is the First-Winner of the International Contest "WORLD GAMES OF STAGE ART", the First-Winner of Interregional folk song competition "I love my Earth" named after Ekaterina Semenkina, the Winner of the All-Russian festival of folk-singing art "Eternal Sources", the Winner of the Charitable festival for orphan children "Kind music", the winner of the International festival competition of folk song and dancing art "Dance and sing, Russia young!".

 In September, 2010 the first unofficial album "We won't forget..." was released, which is devoted to 65-years anniversary of the Great Victory (1941-1945) The album included both Russian folk songs, and songs of war years.

 In June, 2012 the folk-band "  Rodnaya Storonka" presented an official debut album "Native Land".
